HAVEN
Crimson seeps from underneath the snow-melt of the kaleidoscopic Bryce landscape.
Two days of warmer temperatures after a heavy snowstorm allowed the red rocks to slowly reveal themselves. Though sunrise in Bryce is always a spiritual event, I occasionally prefer shooting when the sun is a bit higher in the sky. Soft light still prevails but in such a textured landscape the intricate interplay between light and shadow creates a dynamic difficult to experience anywhere else. The white snow also seems to ignite the crimson hoodoos and create a scene that mirrors perfection in its chaos.
